Programs

Community engagement and education are an important part of the mission of the Rockford Wind Ensemble. In our efforts to promote music education and other musical activities in the community, we present and participate in several outreach and engagement programs.

We currently organize two annual engagement events, the Rockford Youth Honor Band and Rockford TubaChristmas. The Youth Honor Band consists of the top players in area high school music programs. TubaChristmas is a community event allowing musicians of all levels who play the tuba (and other instruments in the tuba family) to perform Christmas music.
